Orenburg State Medical University
Orenburg State Medical Academy is a medical institute established in 1944. The Department of pediatrics in Medicine was established in 1970 and a laboratory for scientific research was formed with the purpose of studying of mechanisms of the natural system. A school for Doctor’s improvement was also founded which now is called the Department of post-graduate coaching for specialists. The university constructed a hostel for international students and a canteen was also constructed to serve food to the students residing in the hostel and the students of the university. The institute was in the process of development in the 90’s, some new departments were introduced Department of Preventive Care and the Department of Upper Medical Care. In 2002, the Orenburg State Medical Academy established 3 new departments, namely Clinical Psychology, Pharmaceutical, and Dental which also made it one of the most excellent institutions with 8 departments. Currently, there are 555 scientific members and staff working in the university out of which there are 93Physicians and 298 medical associates.
The eight departments of paediatrics, medical specialization, psychotherapy, the post-graduate coaching department for specialists, preventive care, pharmacy, 56 chairs, dentistry, medical care, psychotherapy, and preliminary courses for preparation into the internship, Academy, four thesis committees, residency, post-graduate coaching and academic degree, scientific and innovative centres of the clinic, analysis coordination, the laboratory of instructional simulation centre, digital instructional technologies, and other subdivisions. The theoretical classes are conducted in the three theoretical buildings of the academy, where basic medical theory and recent developments in medication are taught to medical students.
