Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria:
During the time of admission to MBBS/BDS course in Bangladesh Govt. Medical and Private Medical & Dental Colleges admission policy is approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Medical Education Unit). Following are the requirements prepared by the Bangladesh govt. For admission in MBBS/BDS in the Govt. & private Medical & Dental colleges.
For the MBBS course – The eligibility of candidates is as follows:
Students who have passed SSC in the year 2017 SSC in the year 2016 HSC in the year 2019 or HSC in the year 2018 and a GPA of 9.00. All students are required to complete GP 3.50 in Biology at the HSC Level.
Students with O & A level qualifications or foreign students with qualitatively similar or equivalent qualifications should apply with a certificate of equivalency from the Director General, Health Directorate, Govt. of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.
In this case, the foreign students will need to go through attested copies of their SSC (SSE) & HSC (SSCE) equivalence certificates & mark sheets which are to be obtained from the foreign ministry of the student’s respective country and submitted through the Bangladesh embassy of the respective countries.
For national/foreign students’ admission shall be deemed as null and void if any document submitted before or after admission is found to be fake or misleading. No more admission of extra foreign/National students will be allowed over the quota fixed by the govt. Of Bangladesh.
Admission will be made based on the results of the under-mentioned examination:
Written test according to the current syllabus of the HSC course will be held in the MCQ system and this examination will include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English & General Knowledge: Physics-20, Chemistry-25, Biology-30, English-15, General Knowledge-10 = 100 total marks in the written admission test, 0.25 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers.
The score of 200 will be examined based on SSC and HSC results or similar final results, as follows:
- SSC/Equivalent examination G.P.A x 15 = 75
- HSC/Equivalent examination grade point average multiplied by 25 = 125 Total Marks = 200
Application together with a prospectus will be available from the office of the principal on cash payment of Taka one thousand only for the local students who have completed the admission test held by the Director of Medical Education, Ministry of Health Care, Government of Bangladesh and selected for admission in Govt/ private medical colleges.
For Bangladeshi citizens:
Receipt of fees and all charges will be made as per the rules of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. By which of them will an order be issued in favor of the Medical College for Women & Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka-1230)?
Annual tuition fees together with other annual charges are payable at the start of the year. Otherwise, they will have to pay a 10% surcharge on the amount for defaulting.
Tuition fees after 1st year to onward payment will be made by pay order in favor of “Medical College for Women and Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka.
Re-admission fee Tk. 1, 50,000.00 (One lakh fifty thousand taka only) plus the regular tuition fees of the session will be paid by the students (if the student fails to attend her classes and ward for more than six (06) months continuously).
All students will clear their tuition & other fees so long they persist with their regular courses.
Earlier a candidate who attempted the final professional MBBS examination, in case of failure, he/she would have to pay BDT 8,355.00 (eight thousand three hundred fifty-five) for each attempt per subject.
All hostel seat renters will pay house rent while sitting for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and final professional MBBS exams at Dhaka University.
Any student who wishes to stay in hostel shall be required to pay at least 06 (6) months of hostel seat rent for the initial and subsequent terms of hostellers.
All students shall be bound to clear any other charges which will be mandatory for the MBBS course, as per the rules of any concerned authority like RFST, study tour, autopsy visit, etc.
Poor & Meritorious quota:
5% free studentship for poor and merit students of Bangladesh.
Students will not pay any security money like normal students and hence will not get remuneration as internee doctors.

Note:
University & BMDC registration fees & other costs (as & when) fixed by them to be paid by the students including air fare (approximately USD- 2000.00)
At the time of admission, all students are required to deposit a minimum of six (06) months of hostel seat rent in advance, if they wish to stay in the Hostel (first come, first served).
All the students will pay the amount towards their hostel seat rent before sitting for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & final professional MBBS examination.
If they fail the Final Professional MBBS Examination, they will be required to produce USD 800.00 for each attempt in all subjects and USD 267.00 for each subject.
All students will pay off their tuition & other fees if only they will continue with their regular courses.
All students must pay any other charges that may be in connection to the MBBS course that may be expected by the concerned authority including Field trips/Study tours/Autopsy visits etc.
